The Registration process of IIE (Institution of Engineers), you must meet specific eligibility criteria based on your academic background and professional experience, which vary depending on the membership category you apply for, such as Fellow (FIIE), Member (MIIE), or Associate Member (AMIIE), or Academic Membership and Professional Membership. The registration process involves applying online or by our authorised Student’s Chapter, submitting required documents, and potentially paying fees and taking an examination for certain categories like the Technician Membership Examination (TMIIE) and Associate Membership Examination (AMIIE).
FIIE (Fellow)
For experienced engineers with significant contributions to the field.
Technician Membership
Requires passing examinations and submitting a project report with an approved 40% marks in at least five subjects of Part-I.
MIIE (Member)
For qualified engineers with substantial professional accomplishments.
Chartered Engineer (CEng)
The highest level of professional registration, for engineers who develop solutions to complex engineering problems using new or existing technologies.
AMIIE (Associate Member)
For diploma holders or those with equivalent qualifications seeking recognition.
Professional Engineer (PE)
licensed and certified engineer who has met the highest standards of competency, experience, and ethics in their field.
Attend a Professional Review Interview
If required for your chosen registration, you will be invited to a professional review interview after your application papers are processed. You can select your preferred interview location (virtual, face-to-face, or international).
