Importance of Certification Renewal
Certification renewal is essential to:
Validate ongoing professional competence in the chosen engineering discipline.
Reflect continuous learning, training, and skill advancement.
Maintain professional membership status and eligibility for IIE benefits.
Comply with industry and institutional standards for active engineering practitioners.
Renewal ensures that your certification remains current and continues to represent your dedication to professional growth and excellence.
Eligibility for Renewal
Only currently or previously certified members with valid IIE credentials are eligible for renewal.
Engineers whose certification has lapsed may apply for reinstatement within a grace period, subject to approval and payment of applicable fees.
Members must ensure that their professional development records (such as workshops, trainings, or CPD hours) are up to date before renewal.
Late Renewal and Reinstatement
Renewals completed after the due date will attract a late fee as per IIE policy.
Certifications not renewed within the grace period will be marked as inactive until reinstatement is approved.
Inactive members will not be eligible for IIE’s professional benefits or recognition until renewal is completed.
Stay Certified, Stay Recognized
Maintaining an active certification with the Indian Institution of Engineers signifies your commitment to professional integrity, ongoing learning, and technical excellence.
